This project was a personal creative exploration inspired by my love for the WNBA. As a passionate fan and designer, I have been captivated by the entire league, which has seen a recent surge in visibility, inclusivity, and the betterment of women in many ways. I spent the season following games, exploring social media, and admiring the design work surrounding the league. But I didn’t just want to be a fan, I wanted in on the storytelling.
I decided to create a series of designs highlighting some of my favorite players, but also some of the most notable standouts of the season: A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, and Angel Reese. The goal was to capture their unique impact through cohesive, visually striking designs that could work as both posters and social media content.
The designs follow a consistent visual style, making them feel like a unified series — each player’s personality and accomplishments highlighted through bold typography, layered imagery, and dynamic layouts. My focus was on creating visuals that not only celebrated these athletes but also felt authentic to the energy of the WNBA.
