
The Bussin Bus is an eclectic Indian American food truck concept first imagined in 2023 and reimagined in 2025 as part of my ongoing exploration of brand identity design. Rooted in playful cultural references and appetite appeal, the brand blends bold street energy with approachable food culture.

While the original bus logo was fun and approachable, it lacked the distinct personality needed to capture the brand’s eclectic nature. After researching visual motifs tied to Indian design, I reimagined the mascot-style logo with richer cultural cues and more expressive detail. One of the most versatile elements I drew from was the teardrop/flame form, which I incorporated into the “i” of the Bussin Bus logotype. This shape became a recurring motif across supporting brand assets, creating cohesion across applications. To complement the mascot, I selected a typeface that balanced playfulness with a subtle nod to Indian influences, allowing the identity to feel both fun and culturally grounded.











The result is a rebrand that transforms a simple food truck into an experience. By leaning into cultural storytelling, playful design, and bold visuals, The Bussin Bus feels like much more than just a concept.
